Cross Country Skiing

Our groomed trails start in the yard and we can offer 150 km of marked trails, of which over 100 km is mechanically prepared. Most trails are in the mountains, but we also have sheltered forest trails for windy days. There are several mountain cafes as Peer Gynt Hytta and Dovre Hytta, where you can come inside and buy refreshments.

For the more experienced skiers, we recommend the trips to the peaks up to 2000 meters. It is the large open spaces and the varied terrain that allows our guests to return to Øigardseter year after year. For children and beginners, we have a small ski slope with ski lift just below the lodge.

Do you want to rent skis, snowshoes, sled or other equipment, then Høvringen Ski School has a good selection of the most you need for skiing. Høvringen Ski School also offers guided tours on both skis and snowshoes as well as traditional ski school.

Our Track machine is equipped with GPS, so on Skisporet.no you can get a status of the trails that are groomed.
